Extended Deadline For 2022 Property Tax

In reference to the cabinet decision of 11 November 2022 on land tax rates, the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning have recently informed tax payers with taxable plots of land of the following:

  1. The 2022 land tax will be paid based on the tax rates used in 2021
  2. The deadline of 31 December 2022 for payment of 2022 land tax is extended to 31 January 2023.

How to check your property tax?

Every property owner should have the UPI for each property. And to check the property tax status, you need to visit nearest  Rwanda Revenue Authority office with your land papers, ID card or Passport and request the TIN(Tax Identification Number) with login credentials on  RRA taxpayer portal and you will be able to track all taxes each term.
